Guests’ liability for their account is not waived and guests agree to be held personally liable in the event that any indicated person, group, company or association fails to pay all or part of any charges incurred.
We require 24 hours notice or more for cancellation of a room booking. Failure to provide 24 hours notice will result in an invoice for 1 nights stay for the whole booking being charged to you. The Weavers also reserves the right to cancel or ammend a booking giving you as much notice as possible. If this happens the Weavers will endeavour to alert you as soon as possible, so you can make alternative arrangements, and if possible we will try and assist you in finding other suitable accommodation. In this unlikely event the Weavers not be held liable for any costs incurred and cannot guarantee suitable accommodation will be found.
Damage to Weavers property
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the Weaver’s property or structure.
The Weavers does not allow smoking in any of the premises. A fixed penalty fine of £200 may be made against any one breaking the law as stated on the entrances to the Premise
Removal of Weavers property
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges.
Tampering with fire detection systems and fire fighting equipment
We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered / interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the premises. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the Owners due to their actions and additionally may be asked to leave the B&B. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, the Police may become involved at the B&B's discretion.
It is the B&B's policy that all our guests have the right to be treated with dignity and respect and as a responsible host we believe that we have a duty to our guests and staff to protect them from inappropriate behaviour. Should any actions by a guest be deemed inappropriate they will be asked to leave and settle any outstanding bills.
Lost / Damaged property
Should any guest lose any belongings during their stay or incur damage to their property, the provision of the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956 may apply. If we find any lost property, we will make every reasonable effort to locate the owner and return it, but if we cannot locate the owner and an item is not reclaimed with 3 months of the guest’s departure it will be disposed of by the B&B. We ask Guests to contact us as soon as they suspect they have left an item.
Cash in Stirling and cards that are acceptable to our machine. These are indicted on the door and reception, however the B&B reserves the right to refuse any transaction type without out giving reason. Travellers cheques are not accepted. Cheques are accepted only with a valid guarantee card and to the limit of the guarantee card. Cards not accepted until end of September 2011
All vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk. Should a problem occur with a vehicle in the Weavers car park, the Weavers cannot accept any liability. If a vehicle is left in the Weavers car park for more than 8 hours after the guest has departed without the written consent of Weavers, the owners reserves the right to remove the vehicle at the owners’ expense. Nothing in these terms or conditions shall limit or restrict the guests’ legal rights as a consumer. Advice concerning such rights may be obtained from a Citizens Advice Bureau.
WiFi is provided free of charge in most areas of Weavers. We do not guarantee that your equipment will connect in your room as this depends on the gain of your WiFi receiver. WiFi is subject to availabily, Weavers takes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, WiFi being unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control, no guarantee of any sort is given that WiFi will be available. Anyone using WiFi does so on the understanding that they will not download pornographic images of any sort, criminal or terorist information, or material covered by copyright. Users will also not submit defamatory information on any social network site using the Weavers WiFi network. Weavers will not be held liable for any misuse of the WiFi by it's residents or guests
Bicycles may be stored in our shed at the owners’ risk, Weavers cannot accept liability for loss or damage however caused. The shed can be accessed on request between the hours of 7:30am until 23:30pm or otherwise when the Cafe is open. Bicycles must be removed on departure failure to do so may result in the disposal of the bicycle if collection is not arranged.
We do not normally offer refunds, however your statutory rights are not affected.
Any personal data you give us when making an enquiry or a booking with the Weavers will be stored securely on our manual booking system for a reasonable period of time. We will not send any marketing information to you and will not pass on our information to any third parties unless it is a legal requirement to do so or requested by you to do so.
We require a full address and landline telephone number to secure a booking, in some instances a mobile telephone number may be acceptable.
For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, Weavers does not keep your records on any computer system.
Credit/ debit card or other payment details and special requirements such as those relating to any disability or medical condition disclosed to us will be deleted after a short period of time, these details will not be passed onto third parties unless requested to do so by the person involved. For example if the Taxi Driver needs to know that a wheelchair user is to be taken.
Tracking Devices or 'Cookies' on our Website
As part of the new data protection laws we are required to let you know when we use any kind of tracking devices or 'cookies' on our website, the Weavers does not.
These Terms and Conditions will not affect your rights under Scottish law which cannot be otherwise excluded. For more information contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau (www.citizensadvice.org.uk).
EVENTS BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will not be responsible for any delay or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions if the delay or failure arises from any event which is beyond our reasonable control. Such events would include (but are not limited to) fires, floods internal and external, earthquakes, storms, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, utilities supply failure or malicious damage to or destruction of our premises, equipment or goods.
If you breach these Terms and Conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach the Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to open and close as required.
In the event that one or more of the terms set out in these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid by a reliable authority, the other terms shall continue to have effect and you will still be bound by them.
